In Promoting Conservation and Ecological integrity

If you support the SLCS constitution and you would like to be a member of the Seymour Lake Conservation Society, then we would love to have you. 

Here are the steps to becoming a SLCS member

1. Read our constitution and bylaws

Fill out and submit the SLCS membership form 

2. Pay the $25.00 joining fee

2. At the next SLCS executive meeting, your membership form will be presented for approval

5. After being a member for 1 year, you will be asked to pay a $10.00 annual membership renewal fee

 

SLCS Membership Categories

4. Membership 

A person of the age of majority who intends to uphold the SLCS constitution and comply with the bylaws may apply to the directors for membership in the Society and on acceptance by the directors is a member as per the following categories: 

 

a) Full Member 

• A person who owns waterfront property on Seymour Lake, property for which the household water supply is obtained from Seymour Lake, including the properties which are part of the Seymour Lake Water  Users’Community and up to one other member of the same household, may apply to the board for membership in the society, and the person becomes a member on the board’s acceptance of the application 

 

b) Grandfathered members

 • A person who was a member in good standing of Seymour Lake Conservation Society on Dec. 31, 2024 remains a full member of the society 

 

c) Associate Member

• A person who cannot be a member of the society pursuant to part 2, Section 4(a) or Part 2, Section 4(b) may apply to the board for associate membership in the society and the person becomes an associate member on the board’s  acceptance of the application 

 

• Associate members shall pay the same dues and have the rights of full members with the exception of: 

I. voting at the AGM 

II. voting at special meeting of the society 

III. becoming a member of the board
